THEME
Informality is achieved through a series of juxtapositionings.
A feminine spirit in all its delicacy is accentuated by contrasting
it with rugged items, inspired by things organic.
Trees, roots and flowers are hinted at in the almost baroque
details on the basic items, or through the very shape of the
clothes themselves which cover the body in an almost protecting
way.
LINE
Streamlined and tubular, with details and shapes inspired by
things organic.
There are classic gabardines and ¾ length traditionally
cut coats, skirts with diagonal pleats and waistcoats of various
lengths.
The contrasts are between fluid/rigid, male/female and
rugged/delicate.
COLOURS
Black, lead, navy.
Luminous green notes. |

Luis was born in 1969 and studied
Fashion Design at the CITEX Institute. He took part in several
fashion competitions before beginning work, which continues
to this day with JOTEX in 1989. With JOTEX he has concentrated
on knitwear design.
For his own label, his collections have a firmly classical feel,
yet enlivened with handicraft and 'graphic' details. The contrast
between classicism and deconstruction runs through his work.
He has shown at MODALISBOA and Portugal Fashion since 1991.
Portugal Fashion invited him to show his catwalk collections
in San Paulo, New York (at 7th on 6th) and Paris (the Louvre
Carousel.)
His collections are sold at around two dozen retail outlets
throughout Portugal.
